About Vea

Hello! My name is Vea Calayo. I work in a corporate office and I have a background in design. I am not a traditional school teacher, but my daily job is all about speaking clearly and helping people.

Because of my corporate experience, I speak and write fluent English every single day. Also, my design background helps me make learning materials look fun, neat, and very easy for kids to understand.

I promise to bring this same focus and care to your child's lessons. For me, being a mentor means creating a kind, patient, and stress-free space where your child can practice English. You can always count on me to be on time, well-prepared, and ready to help. I look forward to working with you and helping your child speak with real confidence!

Practical English Lessons for Beginners & Everyday Learners

Learn and practice English in a relaxed, supportive, and beginner-friendly environment. Whether you’re learning English for school, work, travel, everyday conversations, or simply want to become more confident speaking, lessons can be adjusted to your current level and personal goals.

For speaking-focused lessons, we can practice realistic conversations and situations so you can become more comfortable expressing yourself naturally.

If you are preparing for a customer service or call center position, we can also do mock calls where you practice as the agent while I take the role of the customer. We can work on handling different situations, asking the right questions, showing empathy, and communicating professionally.

Lessons are personalized rather than one-size-fits-all. We can focus more on the areas you find difficult and adjust the pace depending on your level and progress.

No matter if you’re a complete beginner or already have some English experience, you’re welcome to learn at your own pace. My goal is to create a comfortable space where you can practice without feeling pressured or embarrassed about making mistakes.

My lessons are personalized based on each student's level, goals, and learning needs. The hourly rate includes the lesson itself, guided practice, feedback, and activities tailored to the student's areas for improvement.

I welcome beginners and students who may not feel confident speaking English yet. Lessons can cover everyday English, conversation, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, school or work-related English, interview preparation, and customer service or call center mock calls.

For students who want to commit to regular lessons, I also offer 5-hour and 10-hour lesson packages at a discounted rate. These packages are ideal for students who want consistent practice and gradual improvement over multiple sessions.

Students are welcome to discuss their goals and preferred learning focus with me before booking so I can make the lessons as useful and comfortable as possible.
