About Miguel

I made my debut in the world of Music at the age of 5, through piano lessons. Later I came to discover in me a fascination with the Human Voice as an instrument, as well as for its functioning in different aspects of singing, having started official training as a vocalist at 15 years old.

About the lesson

I am a person who has always been surrounded by music, especially in the Pop, Jazz and Lyrical aspects.

My initiation into official training started with piano lessons at the age of 5 - an instrument to which I did not dedicate myself particularly, but which I find very useful to use as a support for vocal training, and very intuitive for learning basic Music Theory. This study started at the Musicentro of the Colégio dos Salesianos de Lisboa - OSJ, by teachers Margarida Pimenta and M. do Rosário Miranda.
During this time I performed as a beginner pianist. It was also in this space, at the age of 15, that I started to develop my voice in class, with Rock singer Paulo Ramos, lead singer of the group Led On (all the while maintaining a self-taught component, arising from a fascination with the functioning of the Voice ).

During this period I participated in several public performances in this space, as a singer of light contemporary music. I was also evaluated several times, obtaining good ratings.

After a hiatus of about 2 years, in which I had no accompaniment, I started to sing Fado in typical houses like A Tasca do Chico and Club de Fado, where I had the privilege of being accompanied by guitarist Mário Pacheco.

Still without a clearly defined objective, I resumed singing lessons, this time at Academia Almadense, with soprano Ana Luísa Silva and performer Rui Andrade. Later, for logistical reasons, I found myself obliged to look for another teacher and started classes with soprano Ana Leonor Pereira, this time as a countertenor.
