About Brandon
I am a passionate Piano teacher with 12 years of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. During my teaching journey, I have successfully trained around 150 students, helping them develop technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence in playing the piano. I believe piano learning should be both structured and enjoyable.
My teaching style focuses on clarity, patience, and gradual progress. I begin by understanding each student’s goals, whether they want to learn piano as a hobby, improve academic music skills, or perform confidently. Lessons are carefully planned to suit individual needs, ensuring steady improvement without pressure. I focus on correct finger placement, timing, coordination, and reading sheet music from the early stages. For advanced students, I emphasize musical expression, speed control, articulation, and performance techniques.
I also integrate music theory naturally into piano lessons so students understand what they play, not just memorize notes. Sight-reading, ear training, and basic composition exercises are included to strengthen overall musical ability. One of my unique strengths is my ability to simplify complex concepts and explain them in an easy-to-understand way.
I use real examples, short exercises, and regular feedback to help students progress confidently. I also encourage disciplined practice habits and self-evaluation. My goal is to help students become independent, expressive pianists who enjoy music and continue learning beyond the classroom.

My teaching methodology for Piano is built on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe every student learns music differently, so I begin by understanding the student’s goals, age, experience level, and learning pace. Some students learn better by listening, some by reading, and others by hands-on practice. I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner so that lessons feel comfortable and effective.
Piano learning starts with strong fundamentals. I focus on posture, hand position, finger independence, rhythm, and basic music theory. These skills are introduced step by step and practiced through simple exercises, scales, and songs. As the student progresses, I gradually include chords, sight-reading, ear training, and expressive playing. Flexibility is key in my lessons—I adjust lesson plans based on the student’s progress and interests, whether they enjoy classical music, film music, pop songs, or devotional pieces.
Collaboration plays an important role in my teaching. I encourage students to ask questions, share feedback, and choose pieces they enjoy learning. This creates a two-way learning environment where students feel confident and involved. I also include duet playing, rhythm clapping, and creative activities like simple improvisation to build musical confidence.
Positivity is at the heart of my teaching. I motivate students by appreciating their efforts and guiding them through challenges patiently. Mistakes are treated as part of learning, not failure. In addition to piano, I support students with basic music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and practice techniques. My goal is to help students enjoy piano learning while developing strong musical skills and self-discipline.
