About Lucy

I am a dedicated saxophone educator with 9 years of professional tutoring experience, having taught more than 350 high school and college students. My greatest joy comes from helping students discover their musical voice and watching their confidence grow with every performance. My teaching journey has been filled with rewarding milestones, including students performing at inter-college competitions, cultural programmes, and public music events. Many of my students started with no musical background and are now skilled performers, which remains my biggest achievement. My teaching approach is clear, patient, and well-structured. I focus on strong foundations such as breath control, posture, sound clarity, rhythm, and music reading. I always support my students with positive feedback and honest guidance. I believe that education should be inspiring as well as disciplined. Through saxophone teaching, I aim to shape not only good musicians but also focused, confident, and creative individuals.

About the lesson

My saxophone teaching style is modern, practical, and student-centred. I use simple communication to explain lessons clearly and keep learning stress-free. I adjust lessons based on student interest, whether they prefer classical, jazz, or popular music. Through accountability, I help students stay consistent with practice. I provide clear exercises, weekly goals, and performance tasks. Students learn to manage their time and improve steadily. Integrity is a core value in my teaching. I motivate students to stay honest with their effort and respect the learning process. Lessons focus on breathing, tone shaping, finger technique, rhythm, and musical expression. Along with saxophone, I teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and basic recording skills. My goal is to prepare students for confident performance and long-term musical growth.
