About So
I am a second year at Oberlin College with a major in Creative Writing. For the past year, I have been tutoring high school students in writing comprehension, helping with in-class and college application essays. I am also a Musical Studies minor and help with any music-related writing assignments. Even in subjects such as math or science for which a student has a writing assignment, I provide help with grammar, sentence structure, or other parts of the writing itself.

I work one-on-one with students and listen to their specific needs. I ask students to evaluate their own work and discover needs for improvement themselves instead of giving away the answers. By allowing students to figure out issues in their writing rather than being told, they can learn from their mistakes and better understand my critiques. I am patient with students who might not see their mistakes and give them the motivation to improve their work.
