About Meghan
I am currently a creative writing MFA student revising a manuscript at University of Arkansas-Monticello, and I am a teaching assistant at Arizona State in English 102. I earned my English and history degrees with a TESOL Certification from ASU. I have a life-long passion for English literature, world history, and writing. I have written fiction for over twenty years and have studied linguistics for several years to gain a better grasp of how to hone my writing.
For hobbies, I love gaming (such as Genshin Impact), bird watching, cross-stitching, cooking, reading, watching anime, and raising Joro Spiders. I also love to dabble in language learning - having taught myself basic Arabic and German. In my limited spare time, I'm also a budding voice actress.

I teach English by making my students feel at ease so they can learn and have fun. I encourage mistakes, as they are fundamental to learning.
I will start with a topic, elaborate, model, provide guided practice, and then allow independent practice.
Instead of sticking to a rigid set of lesson plans, I am flexible with and focus on what the student needs most, wants to work on, and what goals they want to meet through these lessons.
The lessons are for those with basic English knowledge and who wish to improve their fluency. I welcome any and all who want to participate. I enjoy meeting new people!
