About Cassandra
I am a student at University of Nevada Las Vegas. I am in my last year and will be graduating in May 2023. I've been a student/peer tutor for as long as I can remember. I enjoy helping others make sense of concepts instead of having frustration because they don't make sense. I enjoy interacting with others and helping others out. Both of my parents were teachers; my dad a math teacher and my mom an English teacher. With that, I'd say my best subjects to teach are math/reading/writing/English. I had my own built in tutors growing up!

-I have multiple different approaches when it comes to my teaching, because I know not everyone learns the same.
-The first goal of mine is to teach in a way the student understands best. We can try different approaches until there is one that sticks. In my lessons, I like to incorporate some type of reinforcement; such as 5 minute break, snack break, stretch break, phone break; to keep students motivated.
-I stand out because I take time into making sure concepts are fully grasped by my students before moving on. I also try different methods and make learning fun!
-My lessons are provided for high school and middle school aged students.
