About Quynh

Students and families can feel confident knowing they are working with a dedicated, professional tutor who values both academic growth and personal development. I bring over six years of experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including English Language Learners (ELL). My background has given me the skills to simplify complex topics, use clear and structured explanations, and build lessons that strengthen both content knowledge and language proficiency. I maintain a high level of professionalism in every session—always prepared, patient, and focused on each student’s progress. I provide consistent feedback and communicate openly with parents and guardians to ensure every learner receives the guidance and support they need. My approach helps students not only understand their subjects, but also develop confidence, independence, and critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom. Whether a student is working to improve English fluency, refine academic writing, or strengthen their understanding of history and literature, I tailor each lesson to their individual goals. With a balance of structure, encouragement, and adaptability, I create a positive learning environment where every student can thrive.

About the lesson

As a CSULB graduate with a bachelor’s degree in History and over six years of experience working with K–12 students, I provide personalized tutoring that meets each student’s unique learning needs. My teaching approach is individualized and student-centered—I take time to understand every learner’s strengths, challenges, and goals before tailoring lessons to fit their learning style. I have extensive experience working with English Language Learners (ELL), using clear instruction, visual supports, and step-by-step guidance to build confidence and comprehension.

A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous material, followed by interactive practice activities and real-world applications that help students connect concepts to their everyday experiences. I emphasize critical thinking, organization, and communication skills that strengthen overall academic success. What sets me apart is my ability to create a supportive, engaging environment that encourages students to ask questions, think deeply, and take ownership of their learning.

I offer tutoring for high school students and English learners, specializing in History, English, reading comprehension, and academic writing. Whether in person in Fountain Valley or online, my goal is to help every student gain confidence, master their subject, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
