About Amanda
Hello everyone! My name is Amanda, and I am thrilled to be your Chinese teacher! I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and a Certificate for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, and I have over 10 years of experience teaching Mandarin at colleges and universities in Australia. My teaching approach is student-centered, which means I focus on your unique goals, interests, and learning style. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced learner, I’m here to help you improve your Mandarin skills in a fun, engaging, and supportive way. Together, we’ll work on speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and I’ll provide plenty of opportunities for practice and feedback. I’m passionate about sharing the beauty of the Chinese language and culture, and I look forward to helping you achieve your language-learning goals. My teaching methodology is student-centered, focusing on the unique needs, goals, and learning styles of each individual. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel motivated to learn and practice Mandarin. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I tailor my lessons to help you achieve your language goals effectively.
Lessons can be organized as 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 1 hour sessions, held once or twice a week, depending on your preferences and learning objectives. Flexibility is key, and I am happy to adjust the schedule to suit your needs.
I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and a Certificate for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, which have equipped me with the skills to deliver high-quality language instruction. With over 10 years of experience as a Chinese tutor and educator at colleges and universities in Australia, I have worked with students of all levels and ages, from beginners to advanced learners. My lessons are open to all levels of Mandarin students, whether you are learning for personal, academic, or professional reasons.
