About Jerome
Qualified secondary teacher and tutor with a wealth of experience from KS2 to KS5. I have previous experience both in learning support and as an examiner, so am able to take a holistic approach to tuition, based specifically on the students' needs.

My goal is to make lessons engaging, relevant and structured in a way that ensures sufficient progress. Lessons typically last for an hour and are split into four parts: 1. Retrieval practice - to assess what you already know 2. Introduction to a new concept, topic, question, etc 3. Modelling and independent practice (I do, we do, you do) 4. Consolidation and plenary. Lessons are differentiated based on ability, and support/challenge resources are provided to ensure students are meeting or exceeding their targets.
