About the lesson

I am a fourth-year medical student, currently finishing my last year in medical school. My goal is to make complex ideas in medicine more understandable while providing deep and lasting learning for the student. I strive to create an encouraging, interactive learning environment that enables students not only to learn challenging concepts but to apply them with confidence when taking exams.

I apply a blend of active learning, concept mapping, and visual aids to aid the learner in tying theory to practice. This approach incorporates the explanation of complex topics in 'digestible' chunks, with clinical scenarios the students will actually experience, and ensures that learners comprehend the theory as well as the application in the clinical setting.

Each lesson is well-structured and addresses the student's particular needs while giving them comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter. A typical session will look something like this:

- Review of Previous Material (10-15 minutes) – Quick review of the key concepts from the last lesson to make sure things stick.
- Introduction of New Concepts (20-30 minutes) – Explanation of the new topic, using visual aids whenever possible, followed by interactive discussion.
- Guided Practice 15-20 minutes: going through relevant case studies or problem sets together, guiding the student to think critically.
- Q&A and Clarification 10-15 minutes: clear any uncertainties, showing the areas in which a student might need extra support.

My services are ideal for undergraduate and graduate students undertaking a medicine, nursing, biomedical sciences, or related courses. It does not matter if it is exam preparation or simply developing a solid foundation in core medical subjects.
