About Meagan

I am a professional dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company. I formerly danced with Ailey II (second company of The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater). I have a technical background in a wide array of styles—Ballet, Graham, Horton, Contemporary, West African, Hip-Hop, and Improvisation. I enjoy being able to teach dancers in multiple style languages. I have 11 years of teaching experience (The Ailey School, LaGuardia High School, Teaching Assistant at The Juilliard School, and private clientele). Beyond dancing, I have a great passion for choreographing. I have choreographed solos for dancers winning in the National Young Arts Competition, those accepted into various prestigious arts high schools/college conservatories, and college senior solos. I am a 2025 Princess Grace Award Nominee and have received a spotlight feature representing the Martha Graham Company in Vogue Magazine. I have also been featured in The New York Times, Dance Spirit Magazine, and on The TODAY Show. I am also an alumna of The School at Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Program.

About the lesson

I am incredibly passionate about this art form and, more importantly, sharing it with others! From young dancers putting on their first pair of ballet shoes, to professional dancers in need of private coaching, to adults just wanting to find the freedom and joy in movement, I am happily here as a guiding hand however you need!

*ALL AGES AND LEVELS ARE WELCOME! Classes take place in a rented studio (rental fee applies), an open public place, or virtually.

(I will book the space for our lesson in the studio of your choice.) I am open to designing your lessons how you see fit, progressing at a pace that is comfortable for you.
