About Aamna
I have a solid academic background in biology, chemistry, and mathematics and am a medical student at Hull York Medical School. My work experience in medical fields sparked my interest in medicine. Observing the empathy, collaboration and expertise of the medical staff assisting families motivated me to choose a job that would enable me to serve people at difficult times.
I enjoy assisting people in realising their potential and gaining confidence, which is why I want to become a tutor. As a Level 2 Sports Leader and Deputy Head Girl, I have helped younger students, served as an example, and improved my communication abilities. I am aware of how challenging GCSEs and A Levels can be, and I want to apply my personal experience to make challenging subjects seem more doable.
As a medical student, I continue to improve the patience, communication and problem-solving abilities needed to express difficult ideas properly. I aim to assist kids not just improve their grades, but also become more confident, autonomous learners who believe in their capacity to succeed.

My tutoring method is based around improving confidence, understanding and independent problem-solving skills. I employ the “I do, we do, you do” method: first, I demonstrate and explain a concept clearly; then we go through questions together; finally, the student completes similar questions independently so I can assess their understanding and fix any gaps.
The average length of a lesson is sixty minutes. Each session is geared to the student’s needs, whether that means revisiting tough topics, practising exam-style questions, refining revision strategies or preparing for future examinations. I attempt to keep lessons supportive and participatory, allowing students to ask questions and clarify their reasoning.
I have completed A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, as well as 10 GCSEs rated 9–6, including Further Maths. As a result, I have a solid foundation in the areas I teach and am well-versed in the GCSE and A Level exam procedures.
I provide GCSE and A Level students with tutoring. Students who need extra help with difficult subjects, help raising their marks, or advice on boosting their confidence before tests can benefit from my lectures. I also offer help to medicine applicants with interview practice and personal statement help.
