About Zanita
I am currently on a gap year going on to study Medicine next year. At GCSE I received 9’s for all my Sciences and Maths, and am familiar and up to date with the reformed curriculum. At College I studied Maths, Biology and Chemistry at A-level, and Physics up until AS-level. I have experience working with SEN children, particularly in an enabling environment, however can adapt my practice to an educational setting. I currently work as a Learning Assistant at Exeter College supporting a wide range of students.

My approach to teaching is simple: Everyone learns differently and thus my teaching style reflects this. I encourage my students to come up with weird and wacky ways to remember content and I strive to create a safe environment where making mistakes is okay. While teaching a topic, I prefer to use visuals and diagrams and make the lesson as interactive as possible. With science and maths particularly, it is important to teach content in line with the published subject specification, and after each taught element, I will work through some examples of past paper questions with my students to consolidate their learning further.
