About Isobel
I am a current Secondary English teacher. I am passionate about my job; when I was a child, I had teachers that often pushed me down instead of encouraging me. This means it is very important to me, to make sure young people feel listened to. I have lots of experience with SEN needs, having previously worked in a specialist school, but now currently work in a mainstream school. I have experience working with all sorts of needs, levels and achievement goals.

I am a teacher that believes in building relationships with students and tutees. I care about those I teach and want to get to know them as young people. This is vital, so that I can tailor my approach to each student. For example, if someone has trouble concentrating for long periods of time, we can do lots of different activities in a session. If someone needs extra time to complete a task, I can accommodate that, and many more.
Lessons are usually 50 minutes to an hour long, but this can be adjusted to your needs. I have QTS and am a fully qualified teacher. I have 5 years of tutoring experience prior to this on a self employed basis. I have experience of all types of English education, including both primary ages and secondary ages. I also have extra training in SEND and have previously worked in a Specialist School.
