About Rhys
I student at the University of Cambridge who will read part ii chemistry in 2026/2027. I have a deep passion for science and firmly believe that anyone can learn and understand it!
I graduated from Dunblane High School in 2024 with four As at advanced higher. I always enjoyed science at school, and chose to go to the University of Cambridge because of the Natural Sciences course, which provides a huge breadth of scientific education. I read physics, maths, chemistry and biology of cells in first year. In my second year I read cell and developmental biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, organic and inorganic chemistry.
Outside of academics I am an avid sprinter and have competed for my university across the UK and in America. I've also played the guitar almost as long as I can remember!

I aim to allow students of any ability to gain a deep understanding (and hopefully appreciation!) of the sciences. With recent experience of the Scottish exams I know what it takes to"get the marks".
I teach through conversation and write/draw on a digital whiteboard such that students gain a collection of notes from me on each lesson to review as they wish. I also use past paper questions where appropriate.
