About Yasmin

Hi I’m Yasmin and I am currently a university student studying Psychology to hopefully become a Psychologist. Now you might be thinking why would someone studying psychology want to teach maths? Well, the answer is simple… I love maths! I’ve always had a passion for the subject throughout my school journey and so wanted to make use out of my knowledge and help other students feel the same too. I know maths can be daunting to a lot of students at school, whether it’s because it’s not their strongest subject or because they genuinely don’t like it. However I promise that by working with me I will try my best to turn that around and make it a more enjoyable subject for you too.

About the lesson

If you are considering tutoring lessons from me they would take place via video call. I strive to ensure every lesson is personalised for each student depending on their needs. Therefore I ask the student/students parents to contact me at least 72 hours before the lesson with the topics that they would like to cover. Each lesson is an hour long, however a 5 minute break can be taken between that course of time for the students that wish to do so due to struggling with concentration for long periods of time. I will also make sure that the lessons contain active learning by asking the student a few questions about the topic that was covered to ensure they have understood it.
