About Dylan
As a year 13 student and an aspiring veterinary surgeon, I am looking to tutor as I know not only how disappointing it can be when things do not go your way academically, but also the immense pride you can feel once you have worked hard to achieve a goal. I began to develop an interest in tutoring with my school’s mentoring programme, in which I tutored a student who was on track for a grade 7 in biology, and ended up with a grade 8. This was a process which I found incredibly rewarding, and now am seeking a more structured, consistent role in online tutoring. Personally, I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE chemistry, so am capable of delivering tutoring to students of any ability.

As a subject which has some highly challenging topics, I understand that chemistry can be a difficult and disliked subject for many students. In our sessions, we would build knowledge of foundational concepts which would eventually build up to tackling the trickier ideas. Unless requested otherwise, the general lesson structure would begin with going through a topic together, followed by questions which we do together, and finish with questions done yourself with my support.
