About Ariana

Hello, my name is Ariana, and I’m excited to support your child’s learning journey! I am currently a full-time nanny with extensive experience working with children in various educational and childcare settings. My background includes serving as an afterschool student instructor and classroom aide in an elementary school and working as a full-time nanny for the past 4 years where I developed engaging lesson plans and provided individualized academic support. I am a proud student at Cal State University, working toward my degree in Child Development. In addition to my academic pursuits, I hold a 120-hour TEFL certification and a Child Development Associate Teacher certification. My education and professional experience have equipped me with the skills to create tailored learning experiences that are both effective and enjoyable. Beyond my academic and professional background, I have had the privilege of traveling to different countries, which has broadened my perspective and helped me connect with children and families from diverse cultures. My name is Ariana, and I’m a dedicated tutor, passionate about helping young learners thrive. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Child Development at Cal State University and hold both a 120-hour TEFL certification and a Child Development Associate Teacher certification.

With over 8 years of childcare experience, I specialize in tutoring children aged 4 to 10, focusing on preschool and elementary levels. My teaching approach is hands-on and student-centered. I use engaging, interactive activities that cater to each child’s unique interests to make learning fun and effective. Whether it’s incorporating favorite storybooks into literacy lessons or using games and crafts for grammar concepts, I ensure that every session is both educational and enjoyable. A typical lesson begins with a warm-up activity to spark curiosity, followed by an interactive learning segment tailored to the subject area unless student’s parents requests differently. For example, a reading lesson might include a storytime session, discussions about characters, and a creative activity like drawing a favorite scene. I conclude with a reflection to reinforce learning and celebrate accomplishments. I combine my academic background in child development with real-world experience to create personalized learning strategies for every child. My ability to connect with students, understand their learning styles, and make lessons relatable ensures that they stay engaged and motivated.
