About Lucy
My name is Lucy, I’m currently studying my second degree in BSc Adult Nursing. I teach because I understand sometimes learning within a classroom setting can be limiting in certain aspects.
Whether you are a distinguished student who wants further support, a determined student wanting to try for a higher paper or a struggling student wanting to develop my main focus will be to support you in achieving your goals.
Everyday is a new learning experience and opportunity, when tutoring I always aim to incorporate some life lessons so that all my students are able to apply their knowledge both inside and outside of the classroom.
Learning can be so rewarding once the right foundation is built!

Students learning needs are diverse and teaching styles must accommodate the differences.
I offer learning experiences that are tailored to my individual student needs whether they are visual or auditory learners. My main focus is to interact and engage them, prompting them to be part of their academic journey.
I cater to ages between 10-16 years old, my sessions mainly run for 1 hour on the agreed day however during mock/exam periods, I am happy to increase to 2 hours.
Typically my initial lesson will be more informal where the following will be discussed:
-Academic Strengths and Weaknesses
-What they like about school
-What they want to get out of tutoring
-Personal goals
I ask these questions in the beginning as it will provide a clearer understanding and help towards creating effective lesson plans and determine their learning level.
