My approach as a tutor is centered on patience, encouragement, and building confidence. I believe students learn best when they understand the reasoning behind a concept rather than simply memorizing steps. I break down problems into manageable parts, encourage students to think through solutions independently, and adapt my teaching style to each student's needs and learning preferences.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying areas of difficulty. We then work through examples together, practice similar problems, and finish with a brief review to ensure the student understands the concepts. I also encourage students to ask questions and explain their thinking throughout the lesson.
What sets me apart is my ability to create a supportive and positive learning environment. Through my experience working with young people, I have developed strong communication skills and understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and individualized support.
My lessons are designed for elementary school students (K–6) who need help with foundational math skills, including arithmetic, fractions, decimals, word problems, introductory geometry, and pre-algebra concepts.
