About Valerie
Others would describe me as an easy-going, friendly person. I personally believe I am a passionate and attentive person. Once my mind has been set on a particular goal, I will do everything in my power to ensure that I succeed. I refuse to give up on others and I believe that everyone can excel if simply just given the chance. It is not about doing better than others but about performing at a level that can be classified as your absolute best. After all, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree then it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.

Every pupil learns at a different pace and in a different way to their peers, and I believe it is the responsibility of tutors and other academics surrounding pupils to be able to draw out the inner potential of each student. Working slowly and clearly alongside pupils is an effective way of ensuring that I not only familiarise myself with the way the pupil learns, but I am able to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding, where there is no intimidation whatsoever and the pupil can be honest in their attempts to learn.
