I am currently studying a BEng in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Sheffield (about to commence my second year). My overall first year result was 72%. At A Level, I studied Physics, Mathematics, Geography and Applied ICT (B, B, A*,A). At IGCSE level I attained 3A stars, 3A, 3B. This included A stars in English Language, Geography and ICT and A's in Physics, Chemistry and Art.
In the past, I have had a lot of experience in teaching English at a local school in Kenya as part of a charity project that I started myself. As part of my charity projects I started a campaign named ArtAid where I sell my art work to make profit for different charities in Kenya. As an addition to this project, I got the opportunity to teach primary school children simple art techniques.
As a tutor, I am very calm and patient as I know how it feels to be a student trying to learn something new. I would try make my lessons as fun and intriguing as possible since the only way to make sure you learn something well is if you enjoy learning it. Additionally, I am a sports player in my free time and so I can think very clearly and adjust to every situation which will be very helpful since every student learns at a different pace and style. I teach various subjects - mostly at A Level, GCSE, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Key stage 3. I am also extremely happy to help with personal statement writing.
