My name is Saif, and I am an experienced tutor with a strong passion for not only helping students achieve their academic goals but more importantly giving them invaluable revision and exam skills which will aid them in their future endeavours. I specialise in biology and mathematics and provide tailored and specific revision tips to help progress your academic journey. - My Teaching Philosophy I believe every student has the potential to get the highest grades possible. I myself am testimony to that, as during my first set of mocks for GCSE, I got a grade 2 in physics, but with both highly personalised and interactive revision techniques, I achieved a grade 9 for my GCSEs. This idea that nobody is beyond getting a grade 9 is what has shaped my teaching philosophy, and whether it's simplifying complex biological concepts or breaking down challenging maths problems, I truly believe that with the right personalised tutoring, everyone can achieve incredible grades. I provide clear, step-by-step explanations of processes such as photosynthesis, DNA replication, and ecosystems. For mathematics, I break down vital concepts such as algebra, trigonometry, and calculus into manageable steps to ensure understanding. Interactive and Visual Tools: Diagrams play a key role in my lessons, helping students to visualise processes and structures effectively. I also utilise online tools such as whiteboards and Google Jamboard to create engaging, interactive learning experiences. Exam-Focused Preparation: I place a strong emphasis on understanding the structure of exam questions, including techniques for tackling data analysis and extended-response questions (e.g., 6-mark questions).
