About Syeda

As a future doctor, teaching and learning is also a great part of my journey and I believe I have the skills, empathy and patience needed to teach. I also believe that in order to actually teach, you need to be able to build a comfortable space for the student and plan effectively. Every student is different, which is why I tailor my lessons to specific students.

About the lesson

My lessons are greatly based on the student. Once I use the first lesson to get to know and anylaze their weakness/strengths, I make a plan together to work towards goals. I teach them to understand, rather then to memorise. I make my students aware that the lessons are tailored to them, so if there is anything they want to change, they can let me know. Many students struggle with confidence, so it is important that we work with exam practise as well a self confidence. We learn the content and then use practice papers to use the knowledge we learnt.

Perfect! Syeda works with my son (aged 8) to provide additional maths support weekly over 2 hours. The support has been well structured (mapped to the school curriculum) but most importantly, the work has been engaging and has really helped to build my son’s confidence in maths. We are delighted to have found Syeda, so much so that we have now introduced a short session for my daughter (nearly 6) too.

Syeda Tutored me through my GCSEs and A-Levels, she was extremely efficient with her lesson plans and her way of explaining is what I loved most. I felt that each lesson was tailored to my individual needs, changing according to each lesson, my learning pace and understanding of the topic. She made sure to target exam questions specific to my learning progression as the lessons went on and kept up to date with the subject specifications I required.
