About Teresa
Hello! My name is Teresa, and I am currently in my third year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Foundation Phase Teaching. Alongside my studies, I am employed as a learner support teacher, which allows me to work closely with young learners, helping them overcome challenges and reach their academic potential. I also hold a certificate in Social Auxiliary Work and have over 10 years of experience working as a social auxiliary worker, where I developed strong skills in supporting individuals in both educational and emotional contexts. With my diverse background in teaching, learner support, and social work, I am uniquely equipped to provide personalized and holistic learning experiences. I understand that each student has different needs, and I am passionate about adapting my teaching style to ensure that every learner is engaged, supported, and empowered to succeed. I am eager to apply my knowledge and passion for early childhood education in a formal setting. Through my academic journey and work experience, I have gained valuable insights into child development, literacy, numeracy, and effective teaching strategies for young learners. My role as a learner support teacher has provided me with hands-on experience in working with diverse learning needs, assisting struggling students, and implementing targeted interventions. Additionally, my practical experience through teaching practicums has equipped me with classroom management skills, lesson planning expertise, and the ability to differentiate instruction effectively. I am committed to creating a nurturing and engaging environment where learners feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and grow both academically and socially.
