About Oscar
The last two years have been educational breakthrough for me, I have qualified as a personal trainer, completed a level 3 BTEC in Sport where and started studying for the only Cycling Performance degree course in the UK.
I started as a runner - I was in the Air Cadet Corps and at the age of 15, I was watching the faster boys running around the track at an event and I decided I wanted to be faster and fitter than them. From then I have developed as more of a cyclist over the four years, but the same attitude remains: when I see a faster cyclist, I feel the irresistible desire to be faster than them.

If I taught with multiple choice questions, it would not only be less testing on the student, it would give me less information on the performance of the student.
I teach largely by written questions and tasks because this puts them in the spotlight - being able to read a piece of work is much more revealing of the student's areas to improve.
In a typical session I will: teach a topic through conversation, gauge their understanding and finally, assign a task to consolidate this knowledge and set of skills.
