About Fraser
I am an independent contractor who has done work for Facebook, Revolut, Google DeepMind, etc. I did not have a technical background when I started in tech so I learnt to code in some combination of self-directed and on-the-job learning. Since 2014 I've been doing some variation of a "data" job. Some more analytical, some more engineering-focused. More recently I got a MSc in Data Science with Distinction.

I focus on teaching you what you need to get a job (and be good at it!). What theory I do teach I make sure is linked to skills and applications. As a contractor I spend a fair bit of time talking to recruiters and regularly going through the technical job process myself, and I can offer advice on what employers are looking for here. Typical length of a lesson is one hour, followed by a "homework" piece, usually based around a "pretend real world" problem, as opposed to leetcode-style problems (which have limited applicability in my opinion). I give my students the tools they need to be able to succeed in a Data Engineering or Data Analyst career (there is a lot of overlap in between these job titles in practice).
