About Lakshmi
I am a debate and public speaking tutor who has represented Kuala Lumpur at a national-level debate competition. Alongside competing, I have experience coaching students, helping them improve their argumentation, delivery, and overall confidence.
My background in acting also gives me a strong understanding of voice, presence, and performance, which I incorporate into my teaching. I focus on developing both what students say and how they say it, so they become effective and impactful speakers.
I am patient and supportive, but I also challenge students to think deeper and push beyond their comfort zones. I believe debate is one of the most valuable skills a student can develop — not just for competitions, but for communication, critical thinking, and confidence in everyday life.

In my debate and public speaking lessons, I train students to become confident, sharp, and persuasive speakers — not just memorise scripts. Many students struggle because they don’t know how to respond under pressure, so I focus on building real thinking and speaking skills.
I teach students how to structure strong arguments, respond effectively to opponents, and speak with clarity and confidence. Lessons include guided practice, real debate scenarios, and detailed feedback on both content and delivery.
With my experience competing at national level and coaching students, I understand what judges look for and how to improve quickly. Whether you are preparing for competitions, school debates, or building confidence, lessons are tailored to your level and goals.
