About Hiab

I bring extensive experience working with youth through tutoring, mentoring, and community leadership. I have been actively involved in a youth-focused nonprofit organization, where I supported students academically and personally while helping create programs centered on learning, leadership, and opportunity. I have also worked with House of Friendship, gaining hands-on experience supporting diverse families and youth in structured, professional environments. Through these roles, I developed strong communication skills, adaptability, and a deep understanding of how to support students with different learning needs. I approach tutoring with patience, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to helping students grow with confidence.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around confidence, structure, and long-term growth. With over 700+ hours of youth mentoring and tutoring, I’ve developed my teaching approach through hands-on experience working directly with children in educational, leadership, and community settings. I’ve led youth programs, supported students with different learning needs, and helped families reinforce learning outside the classroom.

Each lesson is personalized and typically includes a clear review of concepts, guided practice, and strategies students can continue using independently. What sets me apart is that I don’t only teach content, but I mentor students by helping them build responsibility, motivation, and awareness of academic and personal opportunities, such as enrichment programs, leadership experiences, and skill-building pathways. My goal is to support both students and parents by creating a positive, consistent learning environment that leads to real progress.
