About Jack
As a qualified Business Studies and Accounting teacher, I am committed to helping students build confidence, improve understanding and achieve strong exam results. I hold a Professional Master of Education and have taught across both Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate levels, working with learners of all abilities, including SEN and EAL students. My tutoring approach is clear, structured and supportive. I break topics into manageable steps, use practical examples and focus on exam skills to help students feel more secure in their knowledge. I create a positive, calm learning environment where students can ask questions, develop confidence and make steady progress. Professionalism and reliability underpin everything I do. I prepare thoroughly for each session, use up-to-date curriculum knowledge and communicate clearly with students and parents. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to ensure students genuinely understand the subject and feel confident in their abilities going forward.

I take a structured, supportive and student-centred approach to tutoring, ensuring every learner gains confidence, clarity and strong exam technique. I place strong emphasis on exam skills—understanding command words, structuring answers, managing time, analysing past papers and using marking schemes effectively. For students who need extra support, I provide personalised scaffolds such as simplified notes, templates, visual aids and worked examples. For high-achieving students, I incorporate higher-order questions and challenge tasks to develop deeper understanding and exam-ready writing skills.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and follows a consistent structure:
