About Shahaeen
I have gathered a wide variety of experiences throughout my career, demonstrating my dedication to education. I developed my ability to modify lessons to meet the needs of each student individually while working as a tutor for 11+ students. My proficiency extends to tutoring GCSE Chemistry, where I provided comprehensive guidance to enhance understanding and excel in examinations. As a mentor for A-level students in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Psychology, I facilitated their academic growth by offering personalized guidance and fostering critical thinking skills. In addition, I was able to share my cultural background with my students as a Tamil teacher for grades KS1-3 by designing interesting lessons that encouraged fluency in Tamil and cultural understanding. I have excellent organisational and communication skills from my work in the retail industry, which helps to ensure that customers have a great experience. Each role has enhanced my diverse skill set by highlighting my ability to adapt and my enthusiasm for both interpersonal communication and education.

My work involves assisting students in reaching their full potential and conquering challenges related to their studies. I use active recall tests to make sure the students have retained the material by having them answer questions about previously taught material at the beginning of each class. I teach the subject the student wishes to learn about for the duration of the lesson, and I then assign exam questions that require them to apply what they have learned. Finally, I use a summary quiz to see if they truly understand everything. As an additional means of practice, homework is also given.
