About Amaya
"Actually, teaching a language is less about rigid rules and more about understanding the rhythm of human connection. I hold a BA in French and have spent 13 years honing my craft. Having taught 290 students, I find that hobbyists and kids often progress faster when they drop their fear of mistakes.
My trilingual background provides a unique perspective on how French intersects with other Romance languages. I work with many intermediate learners to bridge the gap between textbook knowledge and real-world ability. I am a specialist in Australian VCE and HSC LOTE preparation.
I love helping people see the logic in complex syntax. I find great joy in watching someone express their first authentic thought in French."
