About Uma
With 7 years of experience and a BM in World Music, I teach guitar across genres like metal, shred, and progressive rock. I help young learners and adult students develop speed, accuracy, and advanced techniques. Lessons include alternate picking, sweep picking, tapping, and legato exercises. Music theory and scales are integrated into practical exercises for improvisation and soloing. Phrasing, dynamics, and articulation are emphasized to create musical expression. Structured exercises develop finger independence, dexterity, and precision. Real songs, riffs, and solos are used for motivation. Improvisation and creative composition are gradually incorporated. Feedback is constructive, actionable, and personalized. Rhythm, timing, and harmonic understanding are reinforced. Tone, effects, and stylistic nuances are explored. Performance preparation builds confidence for recitals and live shows. Lessons balance technical skill with musical creativity. Each session develops speed, precision, and expressive playing.
