About Erlyn

I am a Licensed Professional Teacher specializing in Mathematics, with over 6 years of tutoring experience helping students from Grade 3 to Grade 11 improve their mathematical skills and confidence.

My strong foundation in mathematics allows me to explain concepts clearly and accurately, making even challenging topics easier to understand. I am known for my friendly, patient, and engaging teaching style, which helps create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and participating actively.

One of my greatest strengths is simplifying complex mathematical concepts through effective strategies, techniques, and step-by-step explanations. I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics when given the right guidance and support.

I am passionate about teaching and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals. About the lesson

As a Mathematics Tutor with 6 years of experience teaching students from Grade 3 to Grade 11, I focus on helping learners develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts rather than simply memorizing procedures.

I use the "I, We, You" instructional approach, which promotes gradual and effective learning:

I (Teacher Modeling)
I introduce the lesson by explaining key concepts, definitions, formulas, rules, and step-by-step procedures. I also demonstrate worked examples while explaining the reasoning behind each step.

We (Guided Practice)
The student and I solve problems together. During this stage, I guide the student through the process, encourage participation, and provide immediate feedback to ensure understanding.

You (Independent Practice)
The student solves problems independently to demonstrate mastery of the lesson. I monitor progress, address misconceptions, and provide additional practice when needed.
