About Manuela
Hi! I’m a Medical student at the University of Leicester with a strong passion for teaching Biology. I know that Biology can feel overwhelming at times—there’s a lot to learn! I’ve been there myself. That’s why I’m here to offer extra support with Biology Exam paper techniques, explain tricky topics clearly, and help you feel confident in your abilities. Having completed my GCSEs with a grade 9 and my A Levels with an A, I understand what examiners are looking for and how to master exam technique. With two years of experience mentoring students from KS3 to GCSE, I’ve developed a structured and supportive teaching approach tailored to individual learning styles. I started tutoring because I genuinely want to help others who have been in my shoes. I believe every student deserves the chance to succeed and reach their full potential—with the right guidance, it’s absolutely possible. As your tutor, you can expect patience, professionalism, and lessons designed to make you feel confident, prepared, and motivated to succeed.

I offer engaging and personalised Biology tutoring for students from Year 7 to GCSE level. Teaching Methodology: I focus on building strong foundational knowledge and developing exam technique through interactive explanations, visual aids, and regular quizzes. I encourage active participation and ensure students feel confident asking questions. I also use past papers to help students apply what they’ve learnt and track progress. Lesson Structure: A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes a brief review of previous material, an explanation of new content, interactive practice, and a short recap. I also set optional homework to reinforce learning. Qualifications: I achieved Grade 9 in GCSE Biology and an A at A Level. As a Medical student at the University of Leicester, I bring both subject expertise and an understanding of how to study effectively.
