About Sincheng

Physics is a difficult and intimidating subject, and I know how frustrating it can be to feel stuck. My goal is to help students build both their understanding and their confidence so they can approach difficult problems more independently.

I have extensive teaching experience in physics, including helping design college-level courses and receiving a distinguished teaching award. As a result, I am comfortable adapting explanations to different levels of mathematical and technical background.

I take tutoring seriously and come prepared to each session. I focus on clear explanations, careful problem solving, and making sure students understand not just how to get an answer to one problem, but how to do so for all related problems.

About the lesson

I primarily work with high school and college students in physics, whether they need help keeping up with a course, preparing for an exam, or developing a stronger understanding of the material.

The subjects I teach are not easy, and my goal is always to help students become more confident in their ability to understand and solve difficult problems. I want students to leave each session feeling that the material is more manageable and that they have a clearer path forward.

I tutor by working through problems with students and using their reasoning to identify exactly where they are getting stuck. This can mean looking for whether the issue is conceptual, mathematical, or related to problem-solving strategy. Then, we focus the session on correcting that weakness while reinforcing what the student already understands.

I have received a distinguished teaching award and have helped design college-level courses in both physics and electrical engineering. That experience helps me anticipate common mistakes, explain technical ideas clearly to novice students, and connect individual problems/topics to the broader concepts they're building towards.
