About Canyok
With 18 years of teaching experience and a passion for music, I help students of all ages develop their piano skills effectively. I hold Master’s degrees in Music, providing a strong foundation in theory, technique, and performance. I have taught beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students preparing for exams, recitals, and competitions. My lessons are personalised and student-centred, designed to balance creativity with structure. I use real-life examples and case studies to make rhythm, melody, and harmony relatable and practical. Motivation is central to my approach, and I encourage students to set goals, track progress, and celebrate milestones. Problem-solving exercises are incorporated to develop critical thinking and independence.
I maintain integrity, creating a safe, honest, and supportive environment for all students. I am flexible, adjusting lessons according to each student’s pace, learning style, and personal objectives. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and composition. I prepare students for exams, competitions, and performances while fostering creativity, confidence, and discipline. Lessons are offered online or in-person for learners of all ages. I focus on technical skill, expressive playing, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Each lesson is structured, enjoyable, and motivating. My ultimate goal is to nurture skilled, confident, and expressive musicians.

I teach piano in a way that is creative, practical, and student-focused. I use real-life examples and case studies to make musical concepts relatable, showing how rhythm, melody, and harmony connect to everyday life and experiences. I focus on motivation, helping students set clear goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements to build confidence and maintain enthusiasm. Problem-solving is included in every lesson, guiding students to analyse difficulties, explore solutions, and develop critical thinking and independent learning skills.
I emphasise integrity, creating a safe, honest, and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and learn from mistakes. My lessons are flexible, tailored to the student’s pace, skill level, learning style, and goals. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and basic composition. Lessons are offered online or in-person for children, teens, and adults. My goal is to help students develop technical skill, musical expression, confidence, and a lifelong love of music in a positive and motivating environment.
