My name is Shaniya, and I am a dedicated, professional educator with hands-on classroom experience and a strong passion for supporting student growth. I bring a structured, student-centered approach to every lesson, ensuring that learners feel confident, supported, and challenged in a positive way. I believe consistency, patience, and clear instruction are key to helping students succeed academically. I take pride in maintaining high professional standards while building genuine, trusting relationships with my students. My approach as a tutor is student-centered, structured, and encouraging. I focus on building confidence while using clear explanations, modeling, guided practice, and immediate feedback to help students master skills step by step. A typical lesson includes a brief review, introduction of a clear objective, guided practice together, independent practice, and a short recap to reinforce learning. I continuously check for understanding and adjust instruction to meet the student’s needs.
What sets me apart is my classroom experience, patience, and ability to connect with students. My lessons are best suited for elementary and middle school learners who need targeted reading and literacy support, confidence building, or structured one-on-one instruction.
