About Maanvii
Hi, I'm Maanvii! I'm currently studying Biomedical Science at Monash University. Math has always been one of my strongest subjects — I scored 95+ every year throughout high school and was awarded a scholarship in Year 10 in recognition of my academic performance. While I never wanted to pursue math as a career, choosing Biomedical Science instead, it's remained something I genuinely enjoy and love teaching to others.
I've been tutoring primary and junior high school students in math for over two years now, and I find real satisfaction in helping students move from feeling unsure about a topic to feeling confident in it. I take a patient, structured approach — making sure the basics are solid before building on them, and adjusting my teaching style to suit how each student learns best.
I understand that math can feel overwhelming for some students, especially when they've fallen behind or lost confidence. My goal is to make lessons a supportive space where mistakes are part of learning, not something to be anxious about. Every lesson is planned with the student's specific needs in mind, whether that's catching up, staying ahead, or simply building a stronger foundation.

Hi, I'm Maanvii, a Biomedical Science student at Monash University with over 2 years of tutoring experience in primary and junior high school maths.
My approach:
I focus on building strong fundamentals rather than rote memorization, making sure students understand the "why" behind a method before moving on to practice. I use a mix of visual explanations, step-by-step worked examples, and plenty of practice questions tailored to each student's pace. If a student is struggling with a concept, I break it down into smaller, more manageable steps and revisit it in different ways until it clicks.
I also like to connect maths to real-life examples where possible, which helps students see why what they're learning actually matters — and keeps lessons more engaging.
Lesson structure:
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on the student's needs and attention span, especially for younger learners. Each session usually includes a quick review of previous topics, new content or problem-solving, and time for questions.
