About Talia
I am an experienced violin tutor with 6+ years of teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory (Violin Specialisation). I guide students with patience and clarity. Many of my students are adults starting for the first time. Others are returning after many years away. I help them rebuild confidence gently.
My approach emphasises relaxed posture and safe movement. I teach ergonomic positioning to prevent strain. We use short exercises to improve sound quality. I also include breathing and focus techniques. Students feel calm while playing.
Improvisation is an important part of my teaching. I teach jazz and blues along with simple theory. We also learn Folk, Easy Classical, and Worship music. Students gain freedom to explore their own style. You can rediscover the violin at a comfortable pace.

My teaching approach is friendly, organised, and performance focused. I help students prepare for orchestra auditions step by step. We practise scales and technique alongside orchestral repertoire. Sectional preparation is a key part of lessons. Students learn responsibility within a group.
I train students to blend tone with others. You will learn to follow conducting patterns and cues. I also cover orchestral etiquette and rehearsal communication. Managing dynamics in a section becomes easier. Confidence grows naturally.
I use score reading and mock ensemble practice. Students count rests and enter precisely. Collaborative exercises strengthen listening skills. I also help vocal performers develop ensemble awareness. My aim is to prepare you for concert stage performance.
