About Koheli
Bonjour a tous, and hello everyone.
I am Koheli Banerjee, a DELF-qualified private French teacher based in New Town, Kolkata, with several years of experience teaching French.
I work with two kinds of learners. School students, from UKG to Class 10, who take French as a subject and want it taught alongside their own school syllabus rather than in place of it. And adults - working professionals, university students, and people preparing to move abroad - who are starting French from the beginning or building on what they already know.
I teach every class myself, and I keep classes small so each session can be planned around the student's own level, pace and goal.

Classes are personalised rather than run to a fixed batch schedule, which is why they stay small.
What I teach:
- School French, UKG to Class 10, following the student's own school curriculum
- Online classes, live and interactive, for learners anywhere in India or abroad
- In-person classes at New Town, Kolkata, subject to availability
- DELF A1 and A2 preparation, covering listening, reading, writing and speaking
Sessions are built around each student's level, pace and goal. For school students that usually means working with their own textbook and exam pattern; for adults it means everyday French, pronunciation and building confidence in speaking.
Teaching is in French and English, and I also speak Bengali and Hindi.
