About Dr Abdullah
Hi, I’m Abdullah, a practicing dentist and an MS Oral Sciences student at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Alongside my graduate training, I have served as a teaching assistant in dental school, gaining firsthand experience in academic instruction and student mentorship. My background allows me to approach teaching with both clinical accuracy and academic rigor. I take my role as an educator seriously. I am organized, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional learning environment where students feel supported and respected.
I prepare thoroughly for each session, set clear goals, and ensure that students understand not only what they are learning, but why it matters. My training as a dentist and graduate student ensures that the information I teach is accurate, up to date, and aligned with real academic and clinical expectations.
Students can be confident they are learning from someone who understands curriculum demands, exam standards, and the application of concepts beyond the classroom. Above all, I aim to build trust and confidence. I encourage questions, adapt to individual learning needs, and support students in developing clarity, discipline, and confidence in their abilities as they progress toward their academic and professional goals.

I use interactive methods such as problem-solving exercises, visual aids, diagrams, and quizzes to reinforce learning. I also tailor explanations to each student’s learning style, ensuring they understand deeply rather than memorize blindly. I focus on personalized guidance, adapting lessons to each student’s pace and needs, and emphasize confidence-building, helping students not just learn, but excel and retain knowledge long-term.
Typical Lesson Plan
We begin by defining learning objectives, followed by step-by-step concept breakdown using clear language, diagrams, and examples. We then review and clarify, answering questions and addressing difficulties. Finally, students are provided exercises or revision points for reinforcement.
What Sets Me Apart
I bring clinical experience as a dentist, bridging theory with real-world practice. I’ve taught dental students, giving me insight into curriculum expectations and exam patterns for pre-med or health sciences students.
