As a tutor, my approach to teaching biology is holistic and hands-on. I employ a variety of teaching methodologies, including interactive discussions, and case-based learning which are tailored to the subject's complexity and the students' learning styles.
A typical lesson plan would begin with a brief review of previous material, an introduction to the new topic, and a detailed explanation with real-world examples, particularly from human biology and health sciences. I often use visual aids and encourage active student participation through Q&A sessions.
What sets me apart is my ability to relate biological concepts to practical experiences in dental and medical fields, providing a unique perspective that integrates textbook knowledge with real-life applications.
My lessons are primarily aimed at students pursuing degrees or courses in the health sciences, including pre-medical and dental tracks. Still, they are adaptable to suit high school to undergraduate levels, with a special focus on those requiring a strong foundation in biology for future professional studies.
In emphasizing the interconnectedness of biology with human health, I aim to inspire a deeper interest in the subject and encourage critical thinking and inquiry among students.
