About Anik
To describe my profile briefly, I began my musical journey as a Hindustani classical vocalist at a very
young age of 8 years. I am a disciple of Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty and attained a Diploma (Hindustani
Classical Khayal) in 2015 at his gurukul, Shrutinandan, Kolkata. Subsequently, I also received musical
guidance from Pt. Shuvodeep Mukherjee in the genres of light classical/semi classical songs, Bengali
& Hindi modern songs, Thumri-Dadra, Ghazals, soft Bollywood songs & more. I have more than 18
years of music learning experience.
Regarding my achievements as a vocal artiste, I am the Winner of Radio city SUPER SINGERS
SEASON 11. Besides numerous stage performance, I have many YouTube projects to my credit. I
received an opportunity to perform with Vidushi Kaushiki Chakraborty in an experimental fusion
concert (Ragas & blossoms) in the year 2013. I participated in Dover Lane music conference in
Kolkata & won 2nd position in Raagpradhan Bengali song category (Raaga-based compositions in
Bengali) & Thumri. I also performed for television shows SUPERSTARS, GOODMORNING
AKASH, and SHOKAL SHOKAL on channels Akash 8 and DD national (Bengali).
Regarding my professional experience, I have been a Music Instructor at FifthNote, The Music School
of Surat, Surat, and Kendriya Vidyalaya-1, Ishapore, West Bengal, India & currently conducting
music lessons online music academy of Sonu Nigam ji’s Artium Academy .
