About Scott
Have you ever wondered how your favorite guitarists piece together those intricate indie riffs? After 13 years of teaching out of my Sydney studio and holding a Diploma of Music from JMC Academy, I have refined a specific approach to these sounds. My focus stays on electric technique, chord transitions, and improvisation alongside soloing, scales, and modes.
I emphasize building the raw mechanics required to play clean parts while incorporating strumming patterns that define the genre. Grasping why these songs work remains the core of my teaching philosophy. These technical habits make the difference between a rough noise and a polished, professional sounding track.

You will find that playing along to your favorite records feels much more intuitive once we break the arrangements down. My 13 years of experience means I understand the common hurdles that players face when navigating modern alt-rock styles.
We concentrate on the songs you actually want to hear. Learning is a process that benefits from consistent tracking and clear feedback loops.
I provide a monthly recorded review of progress to ensure we stay on the right path. This allows you to watch your own development over time while I adjust our plan based on what you accomplish each week. It is a rewarding way to see how far your hands have come.
