About Andrea
Hello! I’m an 18-year-old violinist with a Diploma in Violin Performance and Grade 8 Distinction (2018). I’ve played as Violin I in orchestras, string ensembles, and chamber groups, which has strengthened both my technical skills and musical expression. I’m passionate about helping students discover their love for the violin, whether they’re just starting out or preparing for graded exams. My lessons are friendly, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals, focusing on both technique and creativity. I aim to make learning enjoyable while helping students build confidence and develop a lasting appreciation for music.

I am a passionate and patient violin tutor with a Diploma in Violin Performance and a Grade 8 Distinction (2018), offering engaging and structured lessons for students of all ages, especially younger students. My experience as Violin 1 in orchestras, string ensembles, and string quintets has given me a strong foundation in both solo and ensemble performance, which I integrate into my teaching to help students develop musical awareness, confidence, and expression. My approach to teaching is student-centred and adaptive — I tailor each lesson to suit the learner’s goals, experience, and learning style. I place a strong emphasis on developing solid technique while nurturing musicality and expressive playing. I believe in balancing technical exercises with enjoyable, motivating repertoire to keep lessons both productive and inspiring. Lessons typically last 45 to 60 minutes, though shorter sessions can be arranged for younger beginners. I teach students ranging from complete beginners to those preparing for graded exams (ABRSM). My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students not only improve technically but also develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
