About Mia
"A typical session starts with a diagnostic skills check to identify exactly what you need to improve next. I hold a BMus in voice, which allows me to bring a deep understanding of melody and ear training to my guitar instruction. We spend time on electric technique and blues progressions to build your versatility.
Advanced players often find that my focus on theory provides a new way to understand their fretboard. Teens and returning learners appreciate how I break down difficult concepts into manageable parts. I make sure that grade exam prep remains steady and focused on your goals. Tuning and maintenance are integrated so you can keep your gear in top shape.
My lessons focus on clear communication and solid results. I aim to make our work together both challenging and enjoyable. I genuinely enjoy watching your skills grow week by week."

My teaching style is informed by my own time as a student, meaning I offer a patient perspective on complex blues progressions or lead guitar challenges. I work extensively with teens and self-taught players who want to build a stronger foundation in their playing.
