About Kari
Hei! I'm Kari - a 53-year-old Viking, born and raised in Norway, though life has taken me to many corners of the world I never imagined, and left me fluent in four languages along the way.
I still have a house on the beautiful Norwegian coast, where I return every summer and Christmas - pure magic, and a bucket-list must if you ever get the chance.
For me, language is never just grammar - it's a window into how people live, think and connect.
I'm a curious, lifelong learner myself and I love discovering each student's own little universe.
I've been teaching for 25 years. Teaching isn't just my job- it's my hobby and passion too. I love nature, sports, meditation, connecting with people, culture, learning new things and having fun!
Life is for living!

That's the Viking row. That's Norway.
Not loud victory, but quiet pride. Not "we lost", but " look how far we came, together."
This is what I want to teach you - not just the language, but the WHY behind it. The word koselig, the humility, the instinct to celebrate the journey instead of the scoreline.
Learning Norwegian with me isn't memorizing grammar tables. It's learning to think like a people who row together, win or lose.
