About Erin
Based in New York City, Erin is currently pursuing her degree at the Manhattan School of Music as a Presidential Scholarship recipient, under the tutelage of Lucie Robert and Xiao Wang. At the same institution, she also receives chamber music guidance from Peter Winograd and Curtis Macomber. Erin has appeared as a soloist with the Southern California Philharmonic, Orchestra Collective of Orange County, and Bellflower Symphony. Her performances have graced renowned venues, including the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Zipper Concert Hall, Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, and Merkin Hall. A 1st prize winner of numerous competitions, Erin’s accolades include the Southern California Philharmonic Concerto Competition, Orchestra Collective of Orange County Concerto Competition, Bellflower Symphony Concerto Competition, and the American Protégé International Competition. Erin has held leadership positions in the Colburn Chamber Orchestra, Pacific Symphony Youth Ensemble, MSM Philharmonia, and MSM Chamber Sinfonia, working with esteemed conductors including George Manahan. As a member of the Colburn Chamber Orchestra, she was featured on LACMA’s Sundays Live series, broadcasted on KUSC. Her festival appearances include the Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival, European Music Institute in Vienna, Weimar Masterclass at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, and Schloss Academy in Germany. Erin has had the privilege of working with renowned artists such as Andrés Cárdenes, Gary Levinson, Jeffrey Cohen, Yuriy Bekker, Angela Cheng, Michael Klotz, and Julian Schwartz.

I hold extreme importance on curating my lessons based on individual needs. My lessons are focused on guiding my students to build a strong foundation for technique, sound production, and musicality. I hope for my students to come out of my lessons enriched and inspired! I teach all levels from beginners to college entrance preparations.

Erin's detail-oriented teaching is unmatched. I have struggled to find a violin teacher who tailors the lesson to the weak and strong points of the student, but I was able to find resolve in Erin. She will genuinely try to improve every technical aspect of your playing to the highest standard. Not only was she very skilled, but I found that it was easier to ask questions due to her easygoing nature. I cannot recommend her enough!
